The Ottawa Folk Festival is a dynamic and creative organization,

Here are a few examples of our work within the community:
- Talent search events and artist development workshops in conjunction
with the National Arts Centre, Rasputin's, the Black Sheep and
Galaxie - CBC's Continuous Music Network
- Instrument-making workshops with the Canadian Museum of Science
and Technology, Black History Ottawa and the Ottawa Community
Immigrant Services Organization
- Environmental demonstrations and discussions at the festival
with support from Arbour Environmental Shoppe and the Canadian
Union of Public Employees
- Revival of the Acoustic Waves concert series with the Great
Canadian Theatre Company
- Performance broadcasts with community partners CKCU-FM, CHUO-FM,
CBC Radio and Rogers Television
- Concert presentation partnerships with the Ottawa International
Writers Festival, KlezKanada, Writers Bloc, the Songwriters Association
of Canada, the Canadian Society for Traditional Music, the Ottawa Music Coalition,
the Sand Road Sugar Camp Bluegrass Festival and the Canadian Folk
Music Awards
- Music workshops and "Folk Walk of Fame" celebrations
with the Ottawa Folklore Centre
- Festival displays and demonstrations with Citizens for Safe
Cycling, the Taoist Tai Chi Society, the Ottawa Food Bank and
the Coalition for a Healthy Ottawa
